With a breath taking view of highest peaks of both Nepal and Tiber, Naya Kanga climbing trek is one of the most scenic, delightful and relatively non-exerting. Located in the Langtang region, Naya Kanga climbing provides all the rush of adventurous treks of Nepal in relative safety and comfort.
For Naya Kanga (5,844 m) peak climbing, we trek all the way through the beautiful Langtang region trek crossing the Langtang River, pristine forests of rhododendron, villages, emerald hills, up to the Kyangjin (3,900 m). Kyangjing is a beautiful valley and contain a famous Gompa named kyangjing Gompa. Towards the north of the Kangjing valley there are many beautiful hills where we explore and acclimatize ourselves. We climb the Tserko Ri Peak (5001m) also which provide a good opportunity of acclimatization. From the place we trek through the yak pasture land of Ngegang at about (4,150 m.) and climb steeply through the moraines in Ganja La pass to reach the Naya Kangada. Here we set up our camp for the ascent to the peak. We climb via north-east ridge of the peak crossing the glacier; we carefully climb the couloirs and reach the base of the ridge. We again turn left to face the most technical section of the climb and remain the last 30 m climb to the summit of Naya Kangde. The summit of Naya Kanga offer the spectacular views of mountains like Langshisa Ri (6,310 m), Pemthang Ri (6,836 m), Shisapangma (8,046 m), Langtang Lirung (7,246 m), Pemthang Kapro Ri (6,830 m) and Langtang II (6,581m).
For Ascending to Ganja La and the summit of The normal route of ascent to Naya Kanga is via the north – East Ridge over a line on ice and snow. To the north above Kangjin, there are several hills that provide both the magnificent views and acclimatization. Northeast of Kyangjin Ri (4,773 m), there is a peak called Tserko Ri Peak (5,001 m) that provides good climbing for acclimatization.
