Kyajo Ri (6186m) is a semi technical peak situated in the Everest region of Nepal. Unlike other trekking peaks like Lobuche East or Island Peak, Kyajo Ri climbing route actually ends on the summit. Moreover, trekking through the Everest region offers astounding mountain views and an opportunity to get a glimpse of the lifestyle of the world famous climbers (the Sherpas). Our 17-day journey begins in Kathmandu with visits to various UNESCO World Heritage sites followed by trekking in the amazing hilly and mountainous regions of Nepal. Next, we achieve our ultimate objective of summiting Kyajo Ri before heading back to Kathmandu to end an excellent trip to the Himalayas.
Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are the best months for this trip. Although Kyajo Ri can be climbed during winter, the cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone.
